CLASSY Hawkesbury sprinter Jedibeel will be reunited with Tyler Schiller in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1200m).

Leading trainer Brad Widdup today confirmed Schiller’s booking for the gelding in Saturday week’s $1.5m feature sprint.

Robbie Dolan had the mount on Jedibeel when he was nosed out by roughie Libertad in the Group 2 Victory Stakes (1300m) at Eagle Farm last Saturday.

“Tyler was always booked for the Doomben 10,000,” Widdup said.

“However he was unavailable last Saturday as he rode at the Hawkesbury stand-alone meeting.

“Jedibeel has pulled up well and remained in Brisbane.”

Schiller has ridden the Savabeel five-year-old in nine of his 21 career starts – and won six on him, including the Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) at Royal Randwick on March 8.

The Challenge was run at weight-for-age, the same as the Victory Stakes and next week’s Doomben 10,000.

Whilst Widdup initially planned the two wfa races with Jedibeel at the Brisbane carnival, he has not ruled out extending the gelding’s stay for the $3m Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) – which is a handicap - at Eagle Farm on June 14.

“It will all depend on how he shapes in the Doomben 10,000, but I feel Jedibeel is ready now to stretch out to 1400m,” he said.

Widdup will have another carnival runner at the Gold Coast on Saturday.

Three-year-old filly Canny Queen tackles the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m) against her own sex, with Dolan aboard.

Kembla Grange trainers Joe Ible and Kerry Parker were in the money at their home track meeting today.

Ible won the Provincial Maiden Handicap (1300m) with Egypitian’s Reward ($8), and Parker’s Let’s Go Again ($3.20 favorite) outsped her rivals in the Benchmark 64 Handicap (1200m).

Louise Day rode three-year-old filly Egypitian’s Reward, who has recently joined Ible’s stable, and was having only her second start for him and career third.

Last week’s winning Wagga Gold Cup team (Parker and Jay Ford) again joined forces to get Let’s Go Again back into top form and post her third victory.
