EARLIER START FOR WYONG’S METROPOLITAN MEETING

WYONG’S Saturday metropolitan stand-alone meeting is off to an early start.

Because of the forecast hot temperatures, the 10-race program – featuring the $500,000 The Lakes (1600m) – will now begin at 11.05am.

The Lakes is scheduled for 3.35pm, with the final race to go at 4.15pm.

RacingNSW made the decision late this morning to bring forward the race times after consultation with Wyong Race Club, along with the Trainers’ Association and Jockeys’ Association – all of whom fully supported the move.

The highest metropolitan hot weather protocols will be in place to ensure the comfort of horses and participants, and additional cooling measures have been procured from surrounding clubs.

The revised race times are:

RACE 1 – 11.05am

RACE 2 – 11.35am

RACE 3 – 12.05pm

RACE 4 – 12.35pm

RACE 5 – 1.10pm

RACE 6 – 1.45pm

RACE 7 – 2.20pm

RACE 8 – 2.55pm

RACE 9 – 3.35pm

RACE 10 – 4.15pm

Gosford Race Club’s program tomorrow is a twilight meeting, and will proceed as scheduled, with a 3.20pm kick-off.
