We are in the eve of the 2023 Polytrack PROVINCIAL MIDWAY Series, an exciting time for our Provincial Racing NSW trainers.

Newcastle-based Kris Lees is shooting for his fifth win since the then Provincial Series began in 2015. He took out the 2016 race with Danish Twist and 2018 with Serene Miss, before claiming back-to-back titles under the revised Provinical Midway format in 2021 and 2022, with Cristal Breeze and Kinloch.
Angela Davies claimed the 2020 version with Through The Tracks, while the late Bede Murray proved a popular winner when Sure And Fast took out the inaugural running in 2015.
Canberra based Philip Courtney caused arguably the biggest upset of the series when his mare Maryore sped down the outside to claim victory in 2017, returning upwards of $21.
